CBMF assists AFBS AGM
AFBS Logo
The Foundation had a surprise presence at the Annual General Meeting for the ACTRA Fraternal Benefit Society on June 2. With the technical assistance of the Vault Studios, over 300 images were assembled into a video slideshow, accompanied by an unobtrusive audio track, which ran as a background throughout the meeting.

The video slideshow was well received by attendees, providing a trip down memory lane, with images of personalities in Canadian broadcasting, as well as items from the Foundation's collection.

An interview with Douglas Wardle, a 27 year veteran of the department, provides an insight into the early years of the Special Effects Department at the CBC, and anecdotes of some of their achievements.
